Sermon

          In today’s time, there are less people in the church and we often ask ourselves why.  The reason is because of lack of interest in God, which resorts from the lack of ability to believe to have faith.  You see, we as people go by only two instincts in life, one by seeing and the other by knowing;  because, we are able to see and know things for ourselves will turn out okay.  But then some trouble comes our way and we begin not to understand why things are occurring, we then become timid. We begin to wonder and ponder about what’s going to happen next.  In the scripture coming from (Hebrew 11:3), it says “through faith we understand that the worlds were framed from by the word of God”. This is implying that because God created us and our life from his word that remains everlasting love; we as people should not worry about what to come.  For God has a way for us in life, he has a purpose that we need to fulfill for him. God says he wants what we want out of life, but in order for us to receive that we first need to give him what he wants from us.  He wants us to believe in his words and to live like his son Jesus.  I know you must be thinking how I can live like Jesus, but it doesn’t matter if you do drugs, alcohol, crime, for Jesus died to save us from sin, so we may have a chance to live in heaven.  Please don’t mistake me, he wants you to do what’s right, but even when you do wrong, he will still be there for you. 

           I want to show you that without faith there is no God, there is no love, there is no mercy upon you, nor the chance to eternal life.  Eternal life is the life where we all go to heaven to rejoice in Gods name. I want you to understand that without faith in God, he cannot bless you like you want him to.  A lot of time we pray, pray, and pray; after awhile we become frustrated and do not think God is listening.  I want you to realize that God is listening, but because deep down in your heart you don’t believe, you don’t give him a chance to work in your life, you see no results.  God wants us to be honorable to him and praise him in his name. God said that pray at home is good, but it is not enough,  you need to be in the house of the lord on Sunday.  You cannot receive God, by going to church on Sunday and then as soon as you get out, your ready to curse someone, for his love has to be shown through.  For example, if someone talks bad about you, don’t just sit there and do the same, because two wrongs don’t make a right, but go home and pray for that person, when people talk about you, go home and pray for them.  This is how Jesus lived.  I guarantee you that if the world lived like this, there would be no racism, no wars, no hatred, but because we become selfish of our own needs; God cannot help you. 

                I want you to see that without faith God cannot bless you, he cannot not shed light where there is darkness in your heart.  For the bible says “by your stripes we are healed”, it is implying that because of God love, we will always be alright, but you need faith.  We need to believe in God to have a relationship with him,; you see God is like our parent and when you don’t have a parent you have no guidance, you become a lost soul.  I want you to know God can do all things if you believe, the bible said if you can have the faith of a mustard seed, he will bless your life more then you can imagine. The power of faith, will give you a job, when you’re jobless, when your partner leaves you, God will step in to mend your heart.  For when you have faith, you won’t walk by sight, but by the spirit of God.  I have to tell you, that in my life, I have fallen, but I am where I am today because of God, and what he can do for me, he can do for you; but you need is Faith. The bible says “I can all things through God who strengths me.

Thank you for listening to my message, I only hope and wish the best for you.  God is the way of life and he wants me to show you there is nothing to be afraid of, that he loves his people and wants to help us.  Allow God to be in your life and watch yourself grow.

     For the past couple of weeks I have talked to many friends, family members, and people I do not know of.  One of the many sayings that has been repetitive is “My relationship is making me so unhappy; I need to find someone else”.   We as people think that in a relationship when things seem unclear to us or there are problems we assume it is the other half.  In the bible (Mark 10:8) it says “And they twain shall be one flesh, so then they are no more twain, but one flesh”.  This is implying that in relationships there is no two people, they is one person, one mind, one body, and one spirit.  What I am trying to get at is that when you have someone in your life, you need to check them out, because this person will become apart of you. After awhile you will begin to do things they do, say things they say, this is the point where you’re becoming one person.  You’re probably wondering what does this have to do with why things seem wrong or not working out.  It has a lot do with this, because if you’re a Christian and your man/woman is a drinker, smoker, or does something that is not of God, you will have problems. It points it out in the Bible (Deuteronomy 24:1) it says “When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house”.  Your relationship will not have a promising future.  For the Bible says “For we are one Body in Christ”, do you what this actually means? It means that when you bring yourself to Christ you are the same person like everyone else, though your appearance, style, and walk may be different but your love to server God is not.  So when you have someone, they need to be one in your character, they need to have something strong that they can bond with you.  I am not talking about we like the same movies, the same food, but I mean you need to have God as your foundation.  You’re not going to be completely happy until you have that foundation.  There are so many relationships that lack Gods love in it; but in order for you to be happy and something worth the while and togetherness you need to have God involve.  You might question how do I put God in it? The easiest way is to do nothing, let God do everything for you.  For I know, I didn’t have to talk much, impose to do things, or try to get this persons attention, but God said go, here is what you been wanting.  He has given me someone far imaginable, and she is like my best friend. As a person you begin to see that they fulfill your life style, that there will be no changes made, because they fit in to everything you do.  You have to trust God and let him live your life for you, and once you do that; he will place who needs to be there in your life. 

                In (Mark 10: 2) the second line says “Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife”, the reason why God chose for me to use this is because, he wants me to show you, what we as people do sometimes in our relationship.  What this scripture is implying is that sometimes men/women, when God gives us something that we want, we are happy, we need it, but as soon as we see something so much better physically on the outside, we put what we have away.  We don’t adore or admire them like we should, but they become just like a coat, we put them away and take them out of the closet when we want them.  There is a saying that my grandmother use to tell me and that is “The best looking apple is not always the sweetest”, and what I am trying to tell you is that, stop looking on the outside, because you really can’t realize that the person you have has the heart like Gold.  It is something that is rare and in today’s world does not come around very often.  This is the problem with a lot of relationships, because the fact that all of a sudden they can’t do for us; if that was the case why would you even be with them.  Understand that when you have someone, care for them like it is your last.  A lot of times people wonder; why I am lonely.  I’ll tell you why your lonely, it is because God sees that you are not deserving of what he gives you, and in order for you to count your blessing he will allow for that person to leave and give them what they need.  It is like I stated earlier in (mark 10:8)   “And they twain shall be one flesh, so then they are no more twain, but one flesh”, if one cannot be connected with the other, they both shall fall. 

                I just want to point out one more thing for you and that is in (proverbs 31:10), it states “Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.  I want to show you that if you allow God to do things for you, you will have someone that is priceless, and from it all you will try to uphold to Gods love and mercy.   I want to show you that God has to be put into every part of your life, because if he is not, then nothing will be promising to you the way you want it to be.

      Through time I have learned that one of the many blessings from God is his knowledge and wisdom that he uses through us.  Sometimes we as people find ourselves mostly in the wrong places at the wrong times and notice it becomes a trend; and from this we become confused minded.  The Bible says that a confused mind is a mind not of God, because a mind of God will always be a clear mind.  God says that he wants what we want out of life and that all we have to do is ask for all things our heart desires, but realize that you will not receive such a blessing right away, for you have to wait; you can say it is like a waiting process, like you would make a phone call and the operator would put you on hold.  To receive our wisdom from God, God has to do something to us for us to submit ourselves to him, he will put us in a no win situation.  It says right in the bible (Proverbs 1:7) “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise wisdom and instructions”, what this is implying is that God will place us in bad situations so we can see how powerful he is, the purpose of that is to fear him.  I want you to know that once you fear God, God knows he can use you.  It is like if your parenting, you have to strike a child and put fear in them that your mommy or daddy, once the child realizes who is in charge, and then they are easier to control.  The second portion of (Proverbs 1:7) says ‘”but fools despises wisdom and instructions, this is saying that it is not hard to receive Gods wisdom but if you act foolishly in life and not obey him, then his wisdom you will lack.  The bible says in (Proverbs 1: 2 ) “ To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding”, this is just God saying that for you to obtain his wisdom you need understanding to all things, don’t question but just know that God knows what he is doing in your life.  You might ask, how do I get this understanding?  The answer is in the bible, it says in (Proverbs 2: 6) “For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.  God will speak of understand to you, when he feels that you are able to separate him from the world, and know only his voice that speaks through can influence you.  For those who do not know God, and wonder why would he give us this gift?  To clearly explain why, it says in (Proverbs 2:7) “He layeth up sound of wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly”, he gives us this gift for us to walk in his name, to be upheld, to be compelled that God is always there for us, so he are able to walk by faith and not by sight.  You can say it is assurance for him that he fully believe and gives our life to him.  I want you to see that it is all given to you so he can bring you forth having more faith in him. 

                Through Gods wisdom, we change, not mostly the outside but the inside of us. For example, when you read (Proverbs 2:10) it states “When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul.  Because you become filled with Gods wisdom, your heart becomes filled with Gods love, and not just any love, but unconditional love for people.  You start to see yourself becoming more helpful, more intone with others, and from that your soul begins to be upheld in Gods love.  When you accept Gods  wisdom, your understanding to worldly things becomes so clear,  the reason why God does certain things in your life becomes so clear, notice how clear minded you have become.  These are all the things that become of you when you take in Gods wisdom.  No longer will you have to act simple minded and naďve minded.  There is a saying “what you don’t know will hurt you”, but when you have Gods wisdom, God will guide you and show you all things through him, and you become aware of things.   In (Proverbs 2:12) it states “To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh forward things. Because God gave you his wisdom, you will not sight with those in vain, nor those who speak of evil things.  You see Gods wisdom give you, a knew scent, not only can you see, hear, smell, touch, speak, but know you have this second mind, that warns you, your sprit becomes sensitive to environments; it will tell you if you need to be there or if this is not for you.  The role of Gods wisdom is to make your life much more enjoyable to you, though your journey maybe hard, your personal life will begin to get easier.  His wisdom will comfort you in ways that you will understand why he has done such a deed.  I want you to know that that all things within you change, your mind, body, soul, and spirit changes.  It says in (proverbs 3:13) “Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding”, you will begin to more happy then you imagined, because Gods wisdom is within you, in (John 14:6) God says “I am the way, truth, and life”, and through his wisdom, you are living that exact scripture.  God will make you his way of life through other people and be the truth that speaks to others.  The wisdom of God is so important, because without you can not be that seven. In the Bible seven means completion, so when I say you can not be that seven; you can not be that completion form of you he wants you to be. 

                I want to talk to you for a minute what the wisdom of God will also do for you.  In (proverbs 2:22) the Bible says “But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth from the earth and transgressors shall be rooted out of it”, this means that because God gave you his wisdom, you will start to see you self fade away from people, you might ask; what happened to so and so, it not so much what happened to them but God withdrew them from your life, because they are not of his wisdom.  Gods wisdom will show you the true characters of others, show you the other tongue that speaks of you when your not there.  There will be times in your life when you will find yourself friendless of humans, but God is not trying to make you unhappy, what he is doing is preparing a place for you to gather to speak of his name.  God’s wisdom will keep you from harm, and reveal the other side of people who are not of him.  Remember without the wisdom of God we as Christians cannot be the seven in his eye, we can not be the form of completion to him.
