NJ Immunization Requirements

New Jersey State law mandates that the University complies with the Department of Health and Senior Services' immunization regulations. This will require that you submit your immunization record to avoid a HOLD to be placed on your account. This restriction will inhibit your ability to register for future semesters and/or receive your transcripts.

Requirements for all students:

All students born after December 31st, 1956 are required to submit two vaccinations for measles, one vaccine for mumps, and one vaccine for rubella (MMR), all administered after your first birthday and after 12/31/1967.   The two measles vaccines must have been administered at least one month apart.  If your records are unavailable, you can take a blood test (Antibodies IgG for MMR) to prove immunity.  A copy of the lab report is required.

All new students registered for 12 or more credits must submit proof of having completed the hepatitis B series.  There is no age exemption for the Hepatitis B vaccine. If your records are unavailable, you can take a blood test (Surface Antibody for Hepatitis B) to prove immunity.  A copy of the lab report is required.

Requirement for international students:

International students must submit tuberculosis testing results from within the last sixth months [Tuberculosis is also called TB, PPD, or Mantoux (BCG is not accepted)]

Students may receive medical or religious exemptions by complying with the procedures outlined in the regulations in the NJ State law. To view the NJ State law, please visit http://www.nj.gov/health/cd/imm.shtml.

Please submit a copy of your records (originals are not required) by mail, email, or in person to your Admissions or Student Support Advisor. For additional forms and questions please contact:
