How Stuff Works
This site explains how many common items work including airplanes, telephones, and engines.

Electronics (TK)
Circuits Archive
A database of circuit information created to make circuit designs more available to engineering
students. Can be a useful reference for ET, EET and other technology related majors. Some of
the information needs to be downloaded to be opened.

Electronic Engineer's Master Online(EEM)
EEM is the engineer's search engine for electronic products with manufacturer and product links.

IEEE
Information on membership, periodicals, books and conferences from the Institute of Electrical
and Electronics Engineers, Inc.. Most of the information requires a membership number to register,
however some things (such as lists of periodical titles) are available without membership.

The Semiconductor Subway
A list of links to semiconductor and microsystems related information, made to look like a subway map.

TI Semiconductors Glossary of Terms
A list of glossaries put together by Texas Instruments. Included glossaries are: ADSL Glossary,
TMS320C6x Glossary of Terms, Wireless Cellular Terms, USB Terms & Abbreviations,

This page is set up like a book, it is actually the lecture notes to a class on data communications
from Professor D. Choi Yui Kuen at City University of Hong Kong. The page is organized by Chapter,
Index, or Table of Contents.

FrameRelay Forum
This site gives access to newsletters, tutorials and a lot of other frame relay information. One of the
many sections you'll find on this site is called White Papers, which explains the various applications
of frame relay.

Internet Traffic Report
Find out the status for Internet connections around the world. This site allows you to view graphs,
packet loss data and more. The data is set up to look like stock market data.

NetworkWorld Fusion Primers
This site requires that you register first, but there is a free membership. It allows you to select audio
primers alphabetically, get a definition, and listen to the primer. This site also gives access to articles,
buying guides, and career information.

Outside Plant Magazine
This journal deals with subjects for outside plant technicians. Features include full text articles online
and a link to jobs for outside plant technicians.

Technology Guides
This site allows you to view and print guides in subjects such as Communications, Data Warehousing,
and Internet Technology. The site also allows you to search within topics for a guide on a more specific
subject. This site requires a registration with them, but it appears to be free.

Telecom Information Resources
Information resources on all forms of telecommunications can be found here. Each link takes you to a
large list of WEB resources with small annotations to each resource.

Webmonkey: The Web Developer's Resource
This site hosts a number of tutorials on web design, multimedia, and programming, for all levels of study. It also includes useful reference pages, such as color charts and codes, HTML cheatsheets, and guides to JavaScript and style sheets.

Motor Vehicles (TL)
Edmund's Automobile Buyer's Guides
Includes links to the online version of Edmund's new and used car price guides. Also included are
reviews of certain models.

Kelley Blue Book
New and used car pricing from the online version of the Kelly Blue Books. Look in the "Used Car
Values" and "New Car Pricing" section for the information you would find in the print versions of the
Kelly Blue Books.

Consumer Information (TX)
Consumer Reports
Look for online information from Consumer Reports Magazine. Consumer Reports tests and reports
on all types of products. Find links to the issue you need and then come into the library to view it.
Products are split into categories such as appliances, electronics and autos. There is also a search
engine for the site.
