Electronic Engineer's Master Online(EEM)
EEM is the engineer's search engine for electronic products with manufacturer and product links.

Information on membership, periodicals, books and conferences from
the Institute of Electrical
and Electronics Engineers, Inc.. Most of the
information requires a membership number to register,
however some things
(such as lists of periodical titles) are available without membership.

packet loss data and more. The data is
set up to look like stock market data.
NetworkWorld Fusion Primers
This site requires that you register first, but there is a free membership.
It allows you to select audio
primers alphabetically, get a
definition, and listen to the primer. This site also gives
access to articles,
buying guides, and career information.
Outside Plant Magazine
This journal deals with subjects for outside plant technicians.
Features include full text articles online
and a link to jobs for
outside plant technicians.
Technology Guides
This site allows you to view and print guides in subjects such as
Communications, Data Warehousing,
and Internet Technology. The site also
allows you to search within topics for a guide on a more specific
subject.
This site requires a registration with them, but it appears to be free.

Look for online information from Consumer Reports Magazine. Consumer
