In addition to the print magazine/journal collection, the library provides access to a number of full-text online magazine/journal and information databases. We now have some of these databases available for home use. A librarian will be able to provide you with the needed passwords.

EBSCO's databases currently available are Academic Search Premier and ERIC. Academic Search Premier is the "world's largest scholarly, multidisciplinary full text database containing full text for more than 4,000 scholarly publications, including more than 3,100 peer-reviewed publications." (EBSCOhost)
ERIC is the Educational Research database.
EBSCOhost is partially funded by the New Jersey Regional Library Cooperatives, a state tax funded service of the New Jersey Library Network.

ProQuest is the collection of databases containing articles from newspapers, periodicals, and academic journals.

Available ProQuest databases include: ABI/INFORM (and other business databases), Applied Science & Tech Plus, Career and Technical Education, Computing and Telecommunications, Education, Hoovers (company information), Newspapers, Psychology Journals, Research Library (broad range of subjects). Full text Reference books including Ethnic Cultures of America, Occupational Outlook Handbook & World fact book.

AccuNet/AP Multimedia Archive

The AccuNet/AP Multimedia Archive is "an electronic library containing the Associated Press' current year's photo report and a selection of images from their 50 million image print and negative library." (AccuNet/AP Multimedia Archives)
The Multimedia Archive also inlcudes the following databases: graphics (graphics,maps, illustrations); text (description of an event); audio (audio clips) - all from the Associated Press. AccuNet/AP Multimedia Archive is available anywhere on campus without a password and by password from home.

This includes a collection of authoritative references, including Britannica's latest article database, Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary (tenth edition), the Britannica Book of the Year, biographies, multimedia and links to subject related web sites.

Credo Reference is a collection of 100 high quality, constantly updated Reference Books, Dictionaries, Encyclopedias and Atlases, with a focus on Business, Medical and General Information Sources.

Gale Group provides access to full-text articles from the New York Times.

Enter Contemporary Authors
Gale Group-Contemporary Authors provides complete biographical and bibliographical information and references on more than 120,000 U.S. and international authors.

VALE
The Virtual Academic Library Environment (VALE) is sponsored by the New Jersey State Library. It is a database shared by New Jersey College and University Libraries. VALE includes Academic Universe, Books in Print and Oxford English Dictionary (OED).

Mergent Online (previously Moody's) is a database of detailed information on publicly held companies. You can search by company name, ticker symbol, SIC codes and many other business-related factors. This databases has many good features such as background and current company information, recent news articles on specific companies, and spreadsheets of financial information.
