Housing Assistance

Welcome to The Student Housing Office at DeVry University. We realize that getting settled in housing is one of the first priorities if you are not going to live at home and commute to school. School arranged housing is limited to those students who would have to commute in excess of twenty-five miles to school. DeVry University provides housing accommodations to its unmarried students; therefore, all financial and leasing arrangements are made between you and the school. Students must be 18 years old or turn 18 during their first semester in order to be eligible for housing assistance.

HOUSING QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

PRIVATE HOUSING
Private housing is an alternative to DeVry Housing available to students. It is provided as a courtesy to our students and our local landlords. A list of area landlords is compiled and, upon request, is made available to students.

Local private landlords rent rooms in their homes or rent one, two or three bedroom apartments or small studio apartments. Landlords may also require a security deposit. Rental agreements are made between the student and private landlord.

Private housing is not a referral program. DeVry is not involved in any of the rental negotiations, nor does DeVry screen, visit or inspect units prior to adding them to the list. All information provided is deemed reliable but not guarantied and should be verified by the student first.
