Two of New Jersey's most respected institutions have joined forces to provide a unique degree program: Associate in Applied Science Electroneurodiagnostic Technology (ENDT) one of the few such programs in the tri-state area.

DeVry University is a leader in electronics and technology-based business education, offering career-oriented undergraduate degree programs in technology, business and management.

The New Jersey Neuroscience Institute at JFK Medical Center provides the most advanced treatment for both adult and pediatric neurological conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, brain and spinal cord injuries, dementia, balance and movement disorders, neuromuscular disease, neuro-ophthalmology, pain management, sleep disorders, and multiple sclerosis.

Admission to the program is highly competitive - only 12 students per semester will be admitted, allowing for small classes and individual attention. The two-year ENDT associate degree program includes two semesters of classroom instruction at DeVry University's North Brunswick campus and three semesters of hands-on clinical training by medical faculty at New Jersey Neuroscience Institute. Students will complete 1440 credit hours of clinical rotation in a full spectrum of ENDT modalities including:

  • Evoked potential testing
  • Intra-operative monitoring
  • Long-term epilepsy monitoring
  • EEG
  • Nerve conduction studies
  • Polysomnography

A High-Demand Profession. A Prestigious Degree
As a graduate of this exceptional program you will be prepared to take professional certification exams through the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET).

Electroneurodiagnostic Technology: A Dynamic, Diverse Career in Health Care - America's Fastest Growing Industry
Electroneurodiagnostic Technology (ENDT) is one of the healthcare industry's most rapidly expanding and exciting professions. ENDT is the scientific process of recording and analyzing electrical activity in the human brain and nervous system.

As an ENDT technologist, you will operate sophisticated EEG equipment to help doctors in diagnosing brain and nervous system disorders such as brain tumors, strokes, sleep disorders, epilepsy and multiple sclerosis. It is challenging, important and interesting work with long-term potential, opportunities for advancement and excellent salary and benefits.

Find Your Future in the Healthcare Industry as an Electroneurodiagnostic Technician
Thanks to major technological advances, the demand for skilled ENDT technologists is rising. The US Department of Labor projects a 26.4% rise in jobs in this field by 2014, with job opportunities growing rapidly in a wide variety of professional environments.

  • Hospitals
  • Psychiatric Facilities
  • Neurology Practices
  • Acute Care Hospitals
  • Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Firms
  • University Research Centers
  • Sleep Laboratories

ENDT technologists can choose to specialize in such fields as polysomnography (the administration of diagnostic tests that monitor brain, muscle and respiratory activity during sleep) or intraoperative monitoring (a procedure that monitors patients' neurological status during surgery).
